The TargetWise contact waterfall

One source misses.
The search continues.

Give every missing email and phone number more places to be found. TargetWise searches eligible providers across a 15+ source contact network and brings the available results back together.

A separate search for each contact channel

An email match should not end your search for a phone.

One provider may have a work email. Another may have a phone number. TargetWise treats them as separate fields within the same contact-enrichment request.

Find the email

Start with a known professional and request a work email. If an eligible source cannot return it, the route can continue.

Keep looking for the phone

A returned email does not fill the phone field. Eligible phone sources can continue until a number is found or the route finishes.

Use one connection

Receive the available contact data through TargetWise. Your application does not need to combine each supplier’s response itself.

See the routing logic

Follow an email and phone through the network.

In this example, the first source has neither field. Partner 1 finds the email. The phone search continues until Partner 7 finds a number.

Use the controls to step through the request. Switch to email-only or phone-only to see why field selection matters.

A production request can also end with one or both fields unavailable. More sources create more search opportunities, without guaranteeing a complete contact record.

Where the value comes from

Measure the contacts you can use, not the providers you can count.

The economic question is how many additional people you can reach for the total cost and effort of the workflow.

What to compareWhy it mattersWhat to measure
Additional usable fieldsSome sources hold the same records. A later provider adds value when it fills a useful gap.New accepted emails and phones beyond your starting dataset.
Cost per useful resultA low headline price can still be expensive if few results fit the target account or channel.Relevant plan and usage cost divided by accepted results.
Response timeExtra source checks can add time to the request.Typical and slower response times in your intended workflow.
Operating effortSeparate supplier credentials, schemas and agreements take time to manage.Work needed to integrate, monitor and maintain the service.

Every outcome has a next step

A partial result can still be useful.

Keep the fields that were returned, preserve the gaps, and choose the next action based on what your workflow needs.

Matched

The requested fields are available.

Apply your identity and data-acceptance checks before using them.

Partial

Some requested fields are missing.

Use an available email for an email workflow; leave the missing phone visible.

Not found

No accepted match was returned.

Keep the record unresolved. Check the person and company identifiers before trying again.
